Coffee in the Park organize a number of Events and concerts throughout the year in all shapes and sizes and have attracted attendees from all across Ireland. Read more about the events that Coffee in the Park run below.

St. Patrick's Day Parade
On the 17th March 2022, Coffee in the Park ran Palmerstown's first St. Patrick's Day parade in conjunction with St. Pat's GAA Club, Palmerstown. Marching through the roads of Palmerstown, the parade consisted of local groups such as Pearl Flood's Irish Dancing, St. Pat's GAA Football Teams, Wild Cats Special Olympics Basketball Team, Palmerstown Boxing Club, Waterstown Warriors Running Club, Ruth Shine Dancing, Indian Community and International Group. The parade ended at the Coffee Dock where Coffee in the Park provided a BBQ and live Irish music for all attendees. Plans are already underway for next years St. Patrick's Day Parade so keep watching for new exciting updates!

A Celtic Halloween
Coffee in the Park held their second Celtic Halloween event in St. Pat's GAA Club on the 29th of October. The event attracted attendees from all across Ireland to participate in Celtic reenactment battles and meet the Celts and Druids of long ago! The event finished off with the lighting of the Celtic fire, BBQ, live music and a firework display with the Coffee Dock in operation throughout the night. Christmas Events 
While there are no Christmas events in Coffee in the Park this year due to the current renovation work in St. Pat's GAA Club, Coffee in the Park usually holds Christmas with a difference in Glenaulin Park. The event consists of a live crib performance with actors and live animals, mini Christmas market and Hot drinks served from the Coffee Dock. A special visit is also made by Santa who collects presents from the children this time to give to children's charities such as Barnardos and St. Vincent de Paul. See some of our photos below!

Pop-Up Gaeltacht
Coffee in the Park hold an annual Pop-up Gaeltacht in St. Pat's GAA Club every year to bring people together and embrace the Irish language and Culture. The pop-up Gaeltacht includes an Irish table quiz, talent show, drama and storytelling and live music performance. The Pop-Up Gaeltacht is a great way to bring people together, learn Cúpla Focail, participate in a range of activities and grab a Coffee from the Coffee Dock too! The Coffee in the Park team are looking forward to the next Pop-Up Gaeltacht in 2023. Check out pictures from last year below. 


Music Events and Concerts
Coffee in the Park hold a range of small scale concerts and music events throughout the year ranging from Irish music, country music, pop up music and discos and indie music from bands such as Wickerlight, Coille, Declan Landy and Caism Cheoil. More music events will be happening in 2023 so stay tuned!

Pool Setup

Rounders Tournaments

Every Summer Coffee in the Park holds Rounders tournaments on a Friday evening for older children and teenagers (aged 10+) Organised by Seamus Ong, participents are split into two teams and learn to play the Irish game of rounders and compete for a winning prize. Keep an eye out for Coffee in the Park Rounder's tournaments commencing once again in June 2023.

Pool Tournaments

Throughout the year Coffee in the Park holds Pool tournaments on Weekends for Adults.Ticket at €5 to participate including BBQ food. Pool tables also available to rent during the year. Keep an eye out for Coffee in the Park Pool tournaments commencing once again in June 2023.

Workshops

Tree Lined Park

Set dancing and Irish workshops

Word is out there are a number of Irish set dancers and Irish speakers in Palmerstown! Next year Coffee in the Park will be holding a number of Set dancing and Irish poetry and drama workshops. See some photos from our outdoor Ceilí in September below and keep an eye out on social media pages for more information!

Biodiversity Workshops

Coffee in the Park have teamed up with Change X to develop a biodiversity plan for the Coffee Dock and surrounding areas. The plan involves: - Ending all weed killer usage. Creating safe habitats for wildlife, ie bug hotels - Removing all litter and unwanted debris. - Replanting native trees. - Reducing grass cutting. - Making new beds and planters and planting flowers and shrubs. Coffee in the Park plan to hold workshops for schools and local residents on biodiversity and sustainability in 2023. Keep an eye on this space!
